Turkmenistan Airlines will resume direct regular flights on the Ashgabat – Abu Dhabi – Ashgabat route from January 5. According to TDH, the decision to resume air traffic between the capitals of the two countries was made during the working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the UAE. As part of the visit, the Head of the Halk Maslahaty held a working meeting with the participation of deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and heads of the country’s fuel and energy complex. National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the UAE is one of the key partners of Turkmenistan. At the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation, in particular in the transport sector and the use of the transit potential of Turkmenistan, were discussed. Separately, it was noted that the resumption of air traffic with the capital of the UAE indicates that bilateral relations have been taken to a new level.
